January 2007 SNMIC launches online Medical Asset Directory Directory to aid in development of resources within Southern Nevada medical community The Southern Nevada Medical Industry Coalition's (SNMIC) Strategic Alliance Task Force recently launched the valley's first and only Medical Asset Directory. The directory – which is hosted online at SNMIC.com – is already being used by business and healthcare professionals seeking new resources and contacts throughout the Las Vegas region. The purpose of the directory, which uses a Google- like search engine, is to encourage the development of new partnerships and alliances throughout the medical community. By providing a one-stop information portal, Web viewers can find medical assets on local medical institutes, clinic, hospitals and academic resources. "Southern Nevada continues to emerge as a major medical region and professionals, both new and established, want the most up-to-date information available to them," said Ross Newman of Innovative Health Research, who serves as the task force's co- chairperson. "The directory is a collaborative and unique tool, which allows anyone to take advantage of its resources 24/7. It also allows SNMIC to help the medical industry to continue its growth." Newman added that the Medical Asset Directory – which is a free service and open to the public for use – is an outstanding resource to the Southern Nevada region. "All of our work is a multiparty effort between the medical community and SNMIC," said David Dahan of Orgill Singer & Associates, also a task force co- chairperson. "The more entities involved with the project, the better the resources will be for our medical professionals, and as a result, our entire community."
